Maykel Cuesta, CEO: A visionary entrepreneur, Maykel Cuesta’s journey from the vibrant streets of Yaguate to the helm of a multi-million dollar sports complex is a testament to his unwavering dedication. Having migrated to the United States, Maykel translated his love for baseball into a thriving entrepreneurial career. His keen business acumen and love for the game laid the foundation for Yaguate Baseball Academy. As CEO, Maykel spearheads the strategic vision, ensuring the academy’s commitment to excellence and player development.

Mike Cabrera, COO: A distinguished corporate executive, Mike Cabrera’s story is one of academic excellence and professional success. Graduating with a Master’s degree from Columbia University, Mike’s expertise in operations and management is unparalleled. His love for baseball, instilled in the fields of Yaguate, found expression as he joined forces with Maykel to create a sports complex that goes beyond boundaries. As the Chief Operational Officer, Mike orchestrates the seamless integration of the academy, ensuring that every aspiring player’s journey is marked by professionalism and top-notch facilities.

Together, Maykel and Mike: Yaguate Baseball Academy is not just a dream realized—it’s a testament to the enduring spirit of two cousins who carried the essence of Dominican baseball with them across borders. The Splashes debut in the modern day game was not a stellar one, as they finished 54–100 and 57 games back in the division. However, the love affair with the Splashes had begun as the Splashes’ drew 1,910,060 fans to their 67 home dates of their inaugural season.
